The University of Maine Pulp & Paper Foundation was incorporated in 1952 by 12 UMaine graduates financially supporting and preparing well-educated engineering students for careers in the pulp and paper and allied industries.
Our foundation is supported by annual gifts from more than 60 companies in 20 states, as well as individual gifts from more than 250 alumni and friends.
The Pulp & Paper Foundation currently supports 82
engineering and forestry students with full tuition merit based
scholarships. Our scholarship budget for 2008 has been increased to
$601,000, and starting in the fall 2008 our first year scholarship
awards will be increased to full tuition. We expect to make awards
to 25-30 entering first year students.
